Here’s another of my reviews for folking.com: this time of an excellent CD by Baldric’s Plan, three guys specializing in close harmony and based in my part of Cornwall: BALDRICK’S PLAN – Counting The Tides (Grandplan Records GPR1902)
Very cunning. 😉
Another review for folking.com. Scottish harp music much influenced by pibroch. I really like it.
KAREN MARSHALSAY – The Road to Kennacraig (Cramasie Records CRCD001)
The Julie July Band steps beyond Sandy Denny tribute material and releases an album of original material. And it turns out to be rather good. Much as I like their interpretations of Sandy’s songs, I hope they’ll continue to develop in this direction too. Here’s my review for Folking.com.
JULIE JULY BAND – Lady Of The First Light (Aurora Folk Records JJB19CD1)
Another CD review for Folking.com, of another excellent CD from Keith James.
KEITH JAMES – Message From The Gods (Hurdy Gurdy HGA2928)
Another review for folking.com, this time of Daria Kulesh’s excellent forthcoming CD.
DARIA KULESH – Earthly Delights (own label)
Another review for Folking.com: CARRIE TREE – The Canoe (Own Label WCRCD05)
Another CD review: Ky Burt’s The Sky In Between.
A pleasant country-ish piece of Americana.
